The Accredited Counter Fraud Technician Programme is designed to offer delegates a deeper understanding of fraud within the UK, coupled with a working knowledge of how to manage and develop an investigation to criminal standards. Delegates will be provided with detailed information on both civil and criminal legislation, enabling them to conduct effective fraud investigation investigations and develop best practice when dealing with exhibits, information and evidence handling.
The programme introduces delegates to counter fraud activities, giving an understanding of the principles of detection, investigation and deterrence.
It is designed to offer delegates a deeper understanding of fraud within the United Kingdom coupled with a working knowledge of how to manage and develop an investigation to criminal prosecution standards. Delegates will be provided with detailed information on both civil and criminal legislation, enabling them to make best use of fraud investigation enquiries, and develop best practice when dealing with exhibits, information and evidence handling.
The Technician will be at the start of their professional pathway and working to support investigators. The programme is suitable for people whose job might have a counter fraud role but for whom these investigations are not the main stream of their work.
The programme consists of the theory of counter fraud activities for the first three days before tackling a case study for the final two days.
Ongoing assessments by the programme tutor and the submission of post module reflective assignments
We’ve worked closely with the Counter Fraud Professional Accreditation Board to match our training to their accreditation framework so that completion of this course awards the status of ‘Accredited Counter Fraud Technician’, as well as granting use of post-nominal ACFTech.
This programme is accredited by the Counter Fraud Professional Accreditation Board and recognised by the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies (University of Northumbria).
